  • Overview and Responsibilities

    Provides age-specific pharmaceutical care, and basic clinical services for assigned patient care areas. Contributes to goals, programs, QA, PI and other activities for their unit/department/hospital. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Experience Description: Hospital pharmacy experience *** Experience Minimum Required: None *** Experience Preferred/Desired: Clinical knowledge and 1 year of hospital based pharmacy experience. *** Education Description: See Licensure *** Education Minimum Required: None *** Education Desired/Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Master of Science (M.S.) degree. *** Training Description: None *** Training Minimum Required: None *** Training Desired/Preferred: None *** Special Skills Description: Computer literacy, interpersonal skills, general clinical awareness. *** Special Skills Minimum Required: Basic computer literacy and communication skills. Cognitive ability to interpret and understand written medication orders, formularies, and reference materials; accuracy and attention to detail required. *** Special Skills Desired/Preferred: Advanced computer order entry literacy, Microsoft Office applications, clinical awareness. High-level cognitive ability to interpret and understand written medication orders formularies, and reference materials. *** Licensure Description: Current, active, unrestricted pharmacists licesure for appropriate state or eligibility for licensure. Must acquire license within 90 days of the hire date. *** Licensure Minimum: PHARMACIST-FOR APPROPRIATE STATE *** Licensure Preferred: None
