Performs and/or supervises the preparation of cytology specimens; screens cytology smears for atypical or malignant cells and other abnormal findings; maintains files and records of slides. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Cytotechnology Required or Bachelor's Degree in Related Field with Certification from Accredited School of Cytotechnology Required. *** Experience: No experience Required. *** License/Certification/Registries (valid for the State of MS): Cytotechnologist (CT) - ASCP Certification Required, or Cytotechnologist (CT) - ASCP Certification within 6 Months of Employment Required.
