  • Overview and Responsibilities

    Provides operational leadership and oversight for the Foundation working in close collaboration with BMHCC Chief Development Officer, the Chief Executive Officer for the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center (MBMC) and physician leaders to ensure strategic goals and objectives are met.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to participation in the development/implementation of fund raising strategies and tactics, management of  an array of fund raising programs and services, cultivation of donors and prospective donors, on-going donor relations, strong community involvement to strengthen/promote fund raising efforts in order to increase gift giving levels for designated Foundation projects, campaigns and/or community events.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration or closely related field. 
    • Knowledge of constituent-based philanthropy, sales or marketing.
    • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
    • Four (4) years of sales and/or marketing experience with at least 2 years in management required.    
    • Proven success in balancing multiple projects, meeting deadlines and cultivating interpersonal relationships. Proven ability to supervise assigned staff required.
    • Health care or university experience preferred.Substantial extra-curricular leadership activities or related work experience preferred.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
