Responsible for assisting and supporting Director with planning, organizing, staffing and supervising the overall operation of the Environmental Services Department.
Licensure, Registration, Certification
2 years’ experience in Environmental Services. Knowledge of local, state, and federal requirements related to Environmental Services procedures. Knowledge of basic infection control process and disinfecting of patient care areas.
Knowledge of human growth and development necessary for care of patients appropriate to the patient's age (neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric) as acquired through in-service and/or on-the-job training.
Ability to prepare reports and other documents; to compile and analyze data; and to use adult learning techniques when teaching or training employees in assigned areas.
Knowledge of hospital/department policies, procedures and practices including housekeeping, laundry, and overall Environment of Care as normally acquired through six months orientation and five years supervisory experience.
None required, preferred membership in ASHES or IEHA.
