  • Overview and Responsibilities

    Physician Recruiter plans, coordinates, implements, and directs all activities for the recruitment and hiring of primary care and specialty care physicians in specified market(s). This position advises and collaborates with senior management within the Baptist organization with regard to physician recruitment, staffing budgetary compliance, hiring strategies, and search/selection committee management. Because of the variable nature of physician recruitment, flexible work availability is required. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with physicians and leaders at all levels of the organization. Ability to function independently and in a team environment. Must be detailed oriented. Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities. Embody a customer service approach and troubleshoot problems with a "can do" attitude. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have excellent telephone etiquette. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, Internet research, and social media platforms. Performs all duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Minimum three years of experience in physician recruitment or other related recruitment fields or in sales, marketing, or customer service positions in the healthcare industryDirect experience in physician recruitment and/or medical practice administration. Working knowledge of various external market forces affecting medical groups, hospitals, and physicians.
    Education  
     Education: Bachelor's degree in business, health care administration or a related field.Master’s degree in a related field.

     High level interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage physician relationships and to promote and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders. Working knowledge of the healthcare industry. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong problem solving and organizational skills. Ability to work with clinical and non- clinical stakeholders in a team-based environment. Excellent public relations abilities. Strong knowledge and skill with various PC applications; including Microsoft Office applications.Knowledgeable of hospital environment and trends in evolving patient care models. Knowledgeable about physician specialties and trends in physician compensation. Working knowledge of employment, discrimination, and immigration laws.
