  • Overview and Responsibilities

    Candidates for Graduate Nursing Faculty positions are being sought in the population focused area of Adult-Gerontology Acute Care.

    The ideal candidate must enjoy opportunities for curriculum development and strategic planning for

    advanced nursing practice programs at the doctoral level.

    • Educates students in: general education core; and/or health studies; and/or professional courses by providing instructional experiences that support mission and goals of College and/or program
    • Assesses educational outcomes and uses data to revise curriculum and instructional methodology with goal of ensuring competent entry-level practitioners and good citizens.
    • Under the administrative direction of the Academic Dean and/or general direction of the Program Chair.

              Position may require hours beyond the 8-hour workday


    The candidate should have a DNP or PhD from and accredited institution, progressive academic experience, and NP certification in Acute Care preferred.

    Academic rank and salary commensurate with educational preparation and experience.

    Work experience equivalent to four (4) years of post-secondary teaching in the discipline.

     Demonstrates currency with trends, issues, and practices in the profession or discipline; engages in professional development activities on an ad hoc basis.

     Evidence of membership in professional organizations.

      Current license/certification to practice in the State of Tennessee as appropriate to professional practice areas.
