  • Overview and Responsibilities

    • Logs and diagnoses reported issues.
    • Identifies problems and applies solutions.
    • Draws upon other IS resources as needed to develop responses and solutions.
    • Performs problem specific customer training.
    • Provides assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.
    • Evaluates and researches technical issues.
    • Exercises judgment in prioritizing and escalating problems
    • Encourages an environment of teamwork.
    • Works in cooperation with other IS staff to evaluate solutions to problems.
    • Analyzes and escalates technical issues.
    • Utilizes available tools to gather information and recommend solutions.
    • Possesses procedural knowledge of standard escalation processes.
    • Contributes to evaluation and maintenance of existing support documentation.
    • Uses advanced tools, knowledge and experience to analyze, diagnose and resolve problems.
    • Maintains current knowledge of hospital information systems, software, networks and telecommunications technologies.
    • Solves problems dealing with a limited variety of concrete variables by interpreting written and verbal information and screen shots or other data supplied
    • Provides technical assistance to computer system users.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirement: Minimum of one to three year of related experience or educational equivalent of Associates Degree.

     

    Preferred/Desired: Greater than 2 years experience or educational equivalent of Bachelor's degree.
