To administer patient care and meet the patient's physical and psychosocial needs under the supervision of the physician and clinic manager. May only take clinical orders from a physician. To perform various clerical duties, which may include but not limited to answering phones, filing, maintenance of medical records, delivery of messages within clinic, greeting patients, accurate data entry, and all other duties as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. Graduate School of Medical Assisting - Accredited Preferred. *** Experience: 1 year Healthcare/Medical-Clinical Preferred. *** License/Certification/Registries (valid for the State of MS): Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification within 90 Days of Employment Required. *** Skills: Type 45 WPM, able to operate various office equip to include PC, copier, facsimile, multi-line phone system. Competent in alpha/numeric filing. Competent in medical procedural coding (CPT, ICD-9) preferred.
