Overview and Responsibilities

Summary

A mid-level management position within BMG’s oncology service line reporting to the Director, Oncology Operations. This position is responsible for directing the overall operations of the assigned oncology practice site(s). The position effectively assists the Director, Oncology Operations by managing daily site operations to maximize quality of oncology services and provide exceptional customer care.  Overall responsibilities include, monitoring volume to ensure that the site(s) will deliver on its budgeted growth and revenue commitments, and assumes full responsibility for the execution of the strategic plan for the assigned site(s).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, health care administration, or health-related field.
  • 5 years of progressive management experience overseeing medical group practices, large scope clinical/operational programs or related service lines.
  • Leadership experience utilizing problem-solving methodologies, project management skills, management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current Tennessee license highly preferred.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) highly preferred.
  • Clinical experience in an oncology and infusion setting.
  • Master’s degree in business or health care administration.
  • Project management and performance improvement process, such as Lean Six Sigma training.

 

Physical Requirements

Work requires light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) on a frequent basis (up to 50% of time) or continuous walking; or moderate physical exertion (up to 50 pounds) on an occasional basis (up to 15% of time); or heavy physical exertion (over 50 pounds) on an intermittent basis (not a routine part of the job).

 

Environmental Conditions

Work involves intermittent to occasional exposure to unpleasant working conditions or undesirable elements; may involve some contact with potentially hazardous or harmful elements in providing administrative or support services.
