| Obtains initial certificate of medical necessity, verifies information and delivers to appropriate physician office.|
Coordinates closely with department supervisor and reimbursement supervisor to ensure timely distribution and retrieval of CMNs.
Participates in hold file meetings.
Serves as a resource to physicians and physician?s office staff to answer questions and clarify regulatory requirement for documentation.
Logs CMNs and enters notes into patient database regarding CMN status.
Problem solves and identifies approaches to obtain CMN when current system is ineffective.
Completes assigned goals.
|Holds responsibilty for direct communication between physician's and/or physician office staff in the retrieval of documentation necessary for home equipment reimbursement, mainly the certificate of medical necessity or CMN. Plays an integral part of the marketing team in Service First approach to referral sources. Acts a highly visible liaison between Baptist Home Medical Equipment and key customers. Performs other duties as assigned.|
